Responding to RFQ Invitations
When buyers post sourcing requests that match your factory's industry, you receive RFQ invitations. Here is how to find them and decide which ones to respond to.
Find invitations in your dashboard
Log in to your Factory Dashboard. The 'Pending RFQs' section at the top shows all pending invitations you have received. You will also see a notification badge on this section when new invitations arrive. Click 'View' on any invitation to see the full details.
Read the buyer's requirements carefully
Each invitation shows: Product name and description, Required quantity, Budget range (min/max per unit), Target deadline, Buyer's industry, and any additional notes. Read all details before deciding to apply — only respond if you can genuinely meet the requirements.
Check the buyer's profile
The invitation shows the buyer's company name and country. Serious buyers often have a verified account badge. If the buyer is verified or has completed previous orders, their credibility is higher.
Chat with the buyer before they decide
Once you submit a quote, a live RFQ chat opens between you and the buyer. Click the chat icon on your submitted quote card to open it. Use this to answer any questions the buyer has, share sample images or spec sheets (PDF, images supported), and increase your chances of being selected — all before they commit to an order.
Notification badge behaviour
The invitation count badge in your dashboard decreases once you have submitted a quote for an invitation or the invitation is marked as 'Awarded' (meaning the buyer accepted another factory's quote). Awarded invitations no longer count as pending.
Browse the public RFQ board
You can also visit /rfq to see all open public requests — these are requests not specifically addressed to your factory but which you can apply to. Click 'Apply' on any request that matches your capabilities.
