BDE Best ("we", "us", "our") is a B2B manufacturer directory and sourcing platform headquartered in Bangladesh. We operate the website at bdebest.com ("the Platform"), connecting international buyers with verified Bangladesh manufacturers and exporters.
For data protection purposes, BDE Best is the data controller for all personal information processed through the Platform.

- Name and company name (required to create an account)
- Email address (used for login and order notifications — never shared publicly)
- Country (to help match relevant manufacturers)
- Sourcing request details you choose to submit (product type, quantity, deadline)
- Order and review history within the Platform
2.2 Manufacturers / Suppliers
- Company name, address, and public contact information you choose to add to your profile
- WordPress account credentials (username, hashed password)
- Certifications, product categories, export capacity, and other profile fields you fill in
- Product photos and gallery images you upload
- Quote and order history within the Platform
2.3 All Visitors
- IP address and browser type (collected automatically by our servers and CDN)
- Pages visited, time on site, and referral source (via Google Analytics — anonymised)
- Cookies (see Section 6)
3. How We Use Your Data

4. Contact Details Protection — Our Core Commitment

Your email address, phone number, and any contact information you provide during registration is never displayed publicly and never shared directly with manufacturers without your explicit action.
Here is precisely how contact privacy works on BDE Best:
- Your email is used only for platform authentication and notifications from BDE Best itself.
- Manufacturers do not see your email — they can only contact you through BDE Best's protected in-platform messaging system.
- Your sourcing requests (RFQs) show the product details and requirements but never your email or phone number.
- When you accept a quote and an order begins, communication stays within BDE Best's order chat — no personal contact exchange is required or facilitated.
- Only you can choose to share your contact details externally. We never do it on your behalf.
- Manufacturer profiles that pass our verification show their own contact information — this is their business information they chose to make public.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion:
- Your account and profile will be permanently removed within 30 days.
- Order records linked to other parties (manufacturers you transacted with) may be retained in anonymised form for up to 7 years for financial record-keeping under Bangladesh commercial law.
- Reviews you submitted or received are anonymised but the rating data may be retained to preserve the integrity of the platform's trust system.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Correction — update any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion — request removal of your account and personal data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to any processing you believe is not justified.
- Withdrawal of consent — if processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

9. Third-Party Services

10. Children's Privacy
BDE Best is a B2B trade platform intended for business professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted data to our Platform, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
