Messaging Buyers — Chat & File Sharing
BDeBest provides two secure chat channels: an RFQ chat that starts from your very first quote submission, and an Order chat once a buyer accepts your quote. Both support file attachments. All communication must stay on the platform.
RFQ chat — communicate before the order
As soon as you submit a quote, a live RFQ chat opens between you and the buyer. In your Factory Dashboard, find the RFQ in your 'Submitted Quotes' or 'Pending RFQs' section and open the chat. Use it to answer buyer questions, share sample images, and build confidence before they decide to accept your quote.
Order chat — after a quote is accepted
When a buyer accepts your quote, an active order is created with its own Order chat. In your Factory Dashboard, go to 'Active Orders', find the order, and click 'Open Chat 💬'. Use this for all production-stage communication.
Sending file attachments
Both the RFQ chat and the Order chat support file attachments. Click the 📎 paperclip button next to the message input. Supported formats: images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), PDF documents, and Word documents (.doc, .docx). Maximum file size is 20 MB. You can add an optional caption. Use this to share fabric samples, product photos, quality inspection reports, or packing details.
Unread message notifications
When a buyer sends a message, a red badge appears on the order card and on the 'Active Orders' section header. Click 'Open Chat' to read and respond. The badge clears when you open the chat. Check your RFQ sections too for pre-order messages.
What you can discuss
Use chat for: production updates, specification clarifications, packaging instructions, quality check results, shipping timelines, and tracking information (described in text). Attach product photos, spec sheets, or inspection reports directly in the chat.
Contact info is blocked — keep all communication here
The chat system automatically blocks messages containing email addresses, phone numbers, WhatsApp links, Telegram handles, or social media links. Repeated attempts to move communication off-platform may result in account suspension. Keeping all communication on BDeBest protects you in case of disputes — all records are preserved.
