Messaging Factories — Chat & File Sharing

BDeBest provides two types of secure chat: an RFQ chat available from the very first message before any order is placed, and an Order chat after you accept a quote. Both support file attachments. All communication must stay on the platform.

1

RFQ chat — talk before placing an order

You do not need to wait until an order is placed to start chatting. In your 'My Requests' tab, open any request and expand a factory's quote card. Click the chat icon (💬) next to that factory to open the RFQ chat. Use this to ask questions, clarify specifications, and share reference files before deciding to accept their quote.

2

Order chat — after accepting a quote

Once you accept a quote, an active order is created and an Order chat opens. Go to your 'Active Orders' tab, find the order, and click 'Open Chat 💬'. This chat is tied to the specific order and stores the full message history for the duration of the order.

3

Sending file attachments

Both the RFQ chat and the Order chat support file attachments. Click the 📎 paperclip button next to the message input to attach a file. Supported formats: images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), PDF documents, and Word documents (.doc, .docx). Maximum file size is 20 MB per attachment. You can add an optional caption before sending.

4

Unread message notifications

When a factory sends you a message in the Order chat, a red badge appears on the 'Active Orders' tab. For RFQ chat messages, check the 'My Requests' tab. Click 'Open Chat' to read and clear notifications.

5

What you can share

You can freely discuss: product specifications, packaging requirements, reference images, design documents, shipping instructions, production timeline questions, and quality feedback. Attach product images or tech packs directly in the chat — no need for third-party file sharing tools.

6

Contact info is blocked

BDeBest's chat system automatically blocks messages containing email addresses, phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, Telegram handles, or social media links. If your message is blocked you will see a warning on screen. All transactions and communication must stay on the platform to protect both parties.
